AP

AP is the most useful of the two skill points, but also the rarest. As AP is assigned by the DM, it provides a growth limiter on players, but can also empower players if the DM awards reasonably. The most common use of AP is for Skill advancement.

AP is only available through the DM.

AP is capable of the following:

  • 2AP x (Skill Rank +1) x Skill Tier = +1 Skill rank
    • Ex: Rank 2 Tier 1 Skill costs 2x(2+1)x1 = 6AP it improve to Rank 3
    • This is the only way to upgrade a Untrained skill to Trained once all other requirements are met
  • 1Ap x (Skill Rank +1) x Skill Tier + 10SP x (Skill Rank +1) x Skill Tier = +1 Skill Rank
    • Ex: Rank 2 Tier 1 Skill costs 1x(2+1)x1 + 10x(2+1)x1 = 3AP + 30SP to improve to Rank 3
  • 10AP x (Base Stat Score +1 {x2 if INT}) = +1 to Base stat
    • Ex: LRN at 4 costs 10×5=50AP to push LRN to 5
    • Ex: INT at 3 costs 10×4×2=80AP to push INT to 4
  • 10AP x (Edge +1) = +1 Edge
